Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has been named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. The 44-year-old former wrestler was confirmed to have nabbed the top spot on the annual list when the magazine’s cover was released, showing Dwayne in a tight white T-shirt.
The actor retweeted the headline from People magazine on his Twitter account, adding: "And I smell good... on most days. Truly an honour. Sexy time. #SexiestManAlive."
Asked for his initial response to the news, Johnson replied: "I said, ‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is. And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it."
The Rock initially found fame as a wrestler, before making a move into acting. He’s since starred in movies such as the Fast & Furious franchise, San Andreas and will star in the upcoming and much-anticipated Baywatch.
Previous winners of the prestigious title include David Beckham, Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper and Chris Hemsworth.
